Three songs without flash isn't always easy. Especially in a venue with the light quality of a cave. Beer is flying everywhere as drunken fans are moshing around around you. There's no photo pit. Or perhaps it's Motorhead and the stage is lit by one spotlight above the singer's head and Lemmy is wearing a hat.
Luckily I've been fortunate enough to be invited to recording studios, live radio sessions, festivals, secret gigs and the odd dressing room. And many concerts are lit beautifully - it's like photographing a wondrous, unpredictable tableau. Here's some of what I've seen.
